Plenty of vendors imply credit they can't promise. We won't. POST credit is not yet available for Thatcher Lewis leadership training, and this page explains exactly what documentation we provide so your agency can pursue approval in your own state.

- 01 — We hand you the packetEvery engagement includes the documentation package listed above, formatted the way training units typically submit it.
- 02 — Your agency submitsYour training coordinator submits the course to your state POST or local approval authority under your agency's process. Requirements differ by state, which is exactly why we don't promise blanket credit.
- 03 — Records stay audit-readyWhatever your state decides, completion certificates and hour documentation go into personnel files, so the training is defensible in reviews and litigation either way.
The courses in question are the two published leadership training programs, Essentials for first-line supervisors and Executive for command staff. Each runs 2 to 5 days with a cohort of 15 or more, and the documentation package above is generated the same way for every engagement.
A completion certificate records the course title, the instructional hours, and the fact that a named person finished the training. That is what a personnel file and a training-record audit need. It is not a professional credential, and we do not describe it as one. Thatcher Lewis holds no blanket state approval and no federal designation of any kind, so nothing in the packet should be read as pre-cleared credit.
None of this changes with the delivery format you choose. An on-site cohort, a live online cohort, and a hybrid build all produce the same objectives, the same hours breakdown, and the same certificates. If your training coordinator wants to see the paperwork before your agency spends anything, ask for it and it arrives.
